Clay is a fascinating material. At times, it is exacting and supple. Each print, each movement leaves a memory. If they are not precise, the clay will crack; therefore, it is necessary to find its true balance.
I chose stoneware because when fired at high temperature, it reflects the strength, durability and beauty of the rocks that form part of Britany's stunning landscape. Pure and simple lines inspire my work. When fired, the glazes fuse together and glide over the surfaces forming raindrop like patterns.
The four elements: earth, fire, water and air create a great sense of harmony in my life.
